LUSH products are my favorite! I love the brand and products because they are handmade, natural, and delicious! Whenever I use my favorite conditioner (Jungle) it absolutely loves each hair follicle ^_^

I would cast Lisa Bonet because she is my twin spirit and she would be perfect to play my role.

What do you want to be your legacy?
I am an all around artist. My innovations, creations, and humanitarian projects are my legacies. Love is my religion and I just want to spread it like a wild fire! I want to be the change that I wish to see in the world.

One of the best parts about working in the beauty business is that it allows you to meet some of the most beautiful people, inside and out.  It’s always fun to know what kind of people work at some of our favorite brands.  If you’ve never had a chance to meet Cyntelia, let us fill you in.  When you meet her there a whole lot of life and light that exude from her being.  We got 5 minutes of Cyntelia’s time and this is what we found out about her!

Curls Unleashed Curl Refresher (and let me just say I think it’s important to use products other than Design Essentials. I love knowing what others are using, and what else is out there. My motto is use what works!)  We love that motto! 

 

Your favorite thing about curlBOX is?

The attitude and personality!  From the packaging, to the logo, to the photos you guys post. Duh, I’m sooooo into marketing and creating authentic emotional connections between the brand and consumers.

Tracee Ellis Ross!!!!!! She’s sooooooo ridiculously amazing. I think she has a great sense of humor too. I read all her magazine articles. And her fashion sense is _______________I can’t even find the word. She does vintage Azzedine Alaia. Then she’ll flip it to dope-girl fresh with hoops and cornrows. I love her style. Her approach. Okay, I could on and on so I’ll stop here.

Where are you?
I currently live in Charlotte, NC

Day job ?
I am the founder of natural hair care line Heritage By Airest and I am also a natural hair stylist.

Side hustle?
My job is Heritage 24/7!

Go-to hair product?
The product that I use most is our Heritage Moisturizer.  I use it at least twice a day just to add extra shine and moisture to my hair.  I also use it for twist sets and underneath my Flaxseed Gel for and extra shiny wash and go!  It has so many uses!

Home. Hot bath. Candles. Wine.

At church and then brunch with the girls! It’s pretty much a ritual- a new spot every Sunday!

Who would you cast to play you in a movie–and why?
Sanaa Lathan- When I had relaxed hair people use to tell me I looked like her!  She is a great actress and I believe she could capture my quirkiness well on film.

What do you want to be your legacy?
It is my purpose to build a notable beauty and lifestyle brand for men and women with natural hair.  Not only will the brand itself be my legacy but also the notion that you never fail at anything until you give up!
